I was a security guard on day shift (7am - 7pm) for 4 years at Best Theratronics in Kanata. My husband is currently a security guard there now and has been there 9 years on night shift (7pm - 7am). Being artisticly inclined, I like to learn new methods and such of doing whatever I am interested in at the time. Right now, it is watercolors.
Previously I learned a method known as "line and wash" or "ink and watercolors". It's just what it sounds like, watercolors with both the paints and pen. It almost always takes away the realistic look of the picture, but it adds a different dimension to the picture as well. Then I learned "urban sketching" which is more like making all your characters look like cartoons, as in King of the Hill. This is the method I used for my strike paintings. I figured it was a nice way of showing my support for the people as well as a fun pastime for myself.
Coming from my house, you have to make a left at this intersection and this was posted on the light post in the median strip. This is the owner and he lives in Virginia. When the place was operational he only came to the building once every several months. He always made everyone listen to his speech about how they are doing such a poor job and so what if they haven't had a raise in 10 years, if they don't like it he can find people in India who would be glad to take their job over.
